Jefferson City Council weighing return to in-person meetings

Will Jefferson City’s next council meeting be back in-person at City Hall? Council members have spent months meeting virtually because of the pandemic.

Mayor Carrie Tergin says she’s not sure when they’ll return to the council chamber.

“I think it will be heading that direction. I know that, right now, we are definitely keeping things virtual because we feel that that is still recommended.”

Fourth Ward Councilman Ron Fitzwater has said he thinks the Zoom meetings are limiting the ability of city residents to take part.
