Are you interested in an upscale condo in the old Jefferson City shoe factory? That’s part of a developer’s plan for the International Shoe Plant just east of the old MSP prison.
Jefferson City Mayor Carrie Tergin has long said it’s a prime piece of property that’s been waiting for a new life.
“Look what’s happening now on Capitol Avenue with the old shoe factory being sold, we have the re-zoning which passed [the committee] so they’re going through that process.”
This week the city council okayed the Oregon-based developer turning the plant into a ‘fun factory’ featuring a restaurant, miniature golf and even an axe-throwing venue.
Apartments are planned for the upper floors.
