Jefferson City man suffers serious injuries in motorcycle crash

A Jefferson City man is badly hurt in a motorcycle crash.

Police say Justin Owens laid his bike down and slid off Highway 50 and 63 near Militia Drive on Monday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Owens, 43, was wearing his helmet. Mechanical problems may have been a factor in the wreck, according to police.
