Jefferson City’s two public middle schools will learn online-only for at least another week, because of staffing challenges caused by the virus.
Cole County Health Department’s Chezney Schulte says it does not mean that lots of teachers have tested positive.
“A lot of that quarantine for staff members, quarantine for kids, is not because of number of sick or the number of positive cases of COVID-19. Quarantines are occurring because of just contact investigations.”
Jefferson City middle school students won’t return to class until Oct. 26 at the earliest.
