A Jefferson City woman charged with killing a child in her care will be arraigned Friday afternoon in Cole County Circuit Court, but television cameras will not be in the courtroom.
Judge Cotton Walker has rejected a request for cameras for Quatavia Givens’ arraignment.
A Cole County grand jury has indicted Quatavia Givens for first degree murder, for the October 2018 death of Darnell Gray. She’s also been indicted for several other felonies.
Givens is scheduled to be arraigned at 2 pm.
