Jefferson City police arrest man accused of involvement in drug overdose death

Jefferson City police arrest a man accused of playing a role in an overdose that led to a death.

Officers said Monday Darren Thames is now charged with second degree murder and distribution of a controlled substance. Investigators say Thames sold drugs to a person who died of a fentanyl overdose back in October.

Police arrested Thames during a traffic stop on Friday. He’s now in jail with no bond.
