Jefferson City police responded to an apparent shooting early Friday morning.
A release says police heard shots and found casings in the area of Madison and East McCarty streets at around 4 a.m. A silver car had apparently sped away before they got there.
As of now, no word on who or where the suspect is.
A man went to the hospital Friday with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Investigators spoke with him, but they cannot determine whether he is the victim in this case.
