Judge decides Jefferson City School District illegally fired administrator

A fired Jefferson City School District Administrator could get her job back.

ABC 17 reports a judge ruled this week that the district illegally fired Tammy Ferry last July after she transferred work files to her personal computer.

The school board allegedly heard allegations that she put student information at risk by transferring the files.

Ferry then challenged the decision with a lawsuit.

Judge Jon Beetem wrote that the student information was not disclosed to any third party.

Beetem ordered the district to give Ferry her job back and give her back pay.

The district must also pay attorney’s fees.
