Judge rules Twitter lawsuit against Reisch can proceed

Cheri Toalson Reisch will be dealing with a lawsuit this year.

A federal judge rejected her motion to dismiss the case last Friday.

A man in her Missouri House district, Mike Campbell, sued Reisch. She blocked him on Twitter, after he retweeted a comment critical of her. He says that’s a free speech violation.

The Hallsville Republican is arguing Twitter is not a public forum because it’s a private company. She adds he could have reached her in many other ways.
