K9 unit sniffs out nearly a pound of meth

Audrain County authorities say they caught a Vandalia man with more than 400 grams of meth.

Joey Thorpe, 37, was pulled over Tuesday afternoon on Highway 54 north of Laddonia. Investigators say a K9 unit sniffed out the meth during the traffic stop.

Thorpe was taken to jail on first degree drug trafficking charges.
