Kelly injured in skiing accident

A candidate to be Columbia’s next mayor was hurt in a skiing accident this week.

Chris Kelly spent three days in a Colorado hospital but does not need surgery, according to his camp. He says he will return to Columbia this weekend to resume his campaign.

Kelly is challenging incumbent mayor Brian Treece in April.
