“Kenneth’s Law” heard by Missouri Senate committee

What should it take to face involuntary manslaughter charges, if you push a person to commit suicide?

ABC 17 reports a state Senate committee heard about a bill on Monday, lowering the standard from criminal negligence to merely inciting a person to do it.

The measure is called Kenneth’s Law, in honor of Kenneth Suttner. The Glasgow teen killed himself in 2016, after witnesses say he was bullied at work and school. The involuntary manslaughter charge has been dropped against his work manager, but she’s still accused of stalking and harassment.
