Kitchen fire damages JC apartment

A kitchen fire leaves one Jefferson City renter without a place to stay.

Firefighters found smoke coming from a three story apartment building on Swifts Highway around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. They put out the kitchen fire quickly.

No one was hurt.
