Motorists in mid-Missouri who are heading to Warrenton or St. Louis should give themselves extra time again today (Wednesday).

The state Department of Transportation (MoDOT) have closed one lane in each direction on I-70 at High Hill again this morning to continue their work on the damaged overpass that was struck by a tractor trailer in late June.

High Hill is located between Columbia and St. Louis. The overpass is at mile marker 180, and those lanes are closed again until 11 this morning. Crews will be working in the median after that.

MoDOT’s Marisa Ellison tells 939 the Eagle that MoDOT normally doesn’t allow any daytime lane closures on I-70, but that this is an emergency. Motorists are urged to slow down and to give themselves extra time.
