Large fire does damage to Jefferson City business

Crews spent hours fighting a fire that heavily damaged an east end business.

The fire started at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday near High and Lafayette streets. Flames were pouring out of the CW Harrison roofing company. It took two hours to get the fire under control.

Parts of High and Lafayette were still closed as of Friday morning. The fire marshal is investigating the cause. No one was hurt.
