Large vaccine events at Faurot Field, elsewhere this week

This is the first full week where any Missourian who is at least 16 years old can get a coronavirus vaccine.

MU Health Care is giving 7,000 people shots at Faurot Field, Thursday through Sunday, by appointment. Cole County is setting up a semi-permanent vaccination clinic at Capital Mall, starting Monday. Several other vaccination events are happening too.

More than 30% of the state population has gotten at least one dose of the vaccine. Boone County has the highest vaccination rate in Missouri, at 37.6% as of early Monday, according to state data.
