Laundry room fire causes damage at JC home

Investigators say a fire that did some heavy heat and smoke damage to a Jefferson City home on Sunday night was accidental.

The family of four escaped the fire on Francis Street safely at about 8:20 p.m. The Red Cross is helping the two adults and two teenagers.

Investigators say the fire started with an electrical issue in the laundry room.
