Lawmakers want to fix prison crowding

Your lawmakers are trying to get a handle on Missouri’s prison crowding issues.

Jefferson City attorney Dan Dodson testified during a recent hearing on changing minimum sentencing laws.

He says alternative treatment programs can save a lot of tax dollars over the cost of putting someone in prison.

Dodson handles a lot of drug possession and other non–violent crime cases in his practice.
