Lincoln installs extra precautions as fall semester approaches, cancels Homecoming

As Lincoln University students get ready to return to campus, they will find some new health protocols in place.

“To enter any of our buildings and classrooms, you will have to wear a mask,” Lincoln police chief Gary Hill says. “Our cleaning team will be sanitizing the rooms.”

“[Students] will be able to pick their seat, but then we will make sure that those seats remain their seats through the semester so that if we ever need to do contact tracing then we’ll know who was in that seat,” LU spokeswoman Misty Young says.

Classes start Aug. 24. Lincoln’s conference announced last week that fall sports are on hold until at least Jan. 1. LU announced on Thursday all Homecoming activities are canceled.
