The 9-2 Missouri Tigers remain at #9 in the latest College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings that were released Tuesday night on ESPN.

Mizzou is coming off huge wins at Faurot on Veterans Day against Tennessee on CBS and against Florida Saturday evening on ESPN. Mizzou’s regular season finale is Friday afternoon at Arkansas on CBS. Boone County presiding commissioner Kip Kendrick tells 939 the Eagle that the national exposure on CBS and ESPN has been incredible, and he predicts enrollment at Mizzou will increase because of this exposure and success.

“It’s a lot of economic development immediately and then long-term as well. I mean, the athletics programs especially the football program tend to be the doormat for the university, right. And as the team does well and as we rally behind them, enrollment will likely see an uptick as a result of it. That’s the way this goes,” Kendrick says.

Commissioner Kendrick also says the Tiger football team exemplifies life lessons.

“I know it sounds simplistic but you know, hard work right. And working collaboratively that teamwork and just working hard, never giving up on dreams. And just taking each day as an opportunity to improve,” says Kendrick.

Mizzou has enjoyed five straight sellouts for the first time since the Warren Powers era in 1980. Mizzou will battle the Hogs Friday afternoon at 3 at Frank Broyles field in Fayetteville. The Battle Line rivalry game is presented by Shelter Insurance.

You can listen to the game on Central Bank Tiger Radio Network Zimmer affiliates KTGR (FM 100.5) and KCMQ (FM 96.7), with pregame coverage starting at 1 pm Friday.
