The Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls and their third title in the past five years.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the Super Bowl MVP. He was 34 of 46 on passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime.

That’s longtime Chiefs play-by-play man Mitch Holthus with the call on WDAF in Kansas City.  Chiefs defensive standout Nick Bolton, a former Mizzou star, led the Chiefs with 13 tackles.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson (R) and California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) met this weekend before the game to team for a cause important to both of them: the Special Olympics. Governors Parson and Newsom donated signed Super Bowl memorabilia to raise money for the Special Olympics.

The Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade is Wednesday morning at 11.  Television station KMBC reports a number of school districts have canceled classes for Wednesday, including the Kansas City Public Schools District, the Independence School District and the Lee’s Summit School District.
