Columbia city offices will be closed tomorrow for the Fourth of July holiday, which is also a federal, Missouri and county holiday. City spokeswoman Sydney Olsen tells 939 the Eagle that residential curbside trash will not be picked up tomorrow:

“So it will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. So we’ll just have to ask folks to put their trash out one day later than they normally would,” Olsen says.

That means Columbia residents who normally have trash picked up on Thursday will have trash service on Friday, and those who normally have Friday service will have pickup on Saturday morning. Columbia’s landfill is also closed on the Fourth.
