(LISTEN): Columbia’s Congregation Beth Shalom Rabbi Matt Derrenbacher discusses tonight’s vigil for Israel on “Wake Up Mid-Missouri”

Columbia’s Congregation Beth Shalom (CBS) will be holding a vigil for Israel this evening, and all are welcome. Event organizers say tonight’s vigil will begin at 7 at Congregation Beth Shalom, which is on West Green Meadows. Tonight’s vigil will include prayers of remembrance and prayers for peace. Light refreshments will be served, and CBS Rabbi Matt Derrenbacher says the event is open to all. Rabbi Derrenbacher joined us live on 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Mid-Missouri”, telling listeners that the event hits close to home for his congregation. He notes one of the 22 Americans killed in Israel was born in Boone County.
