That area is seeing millions of dollars in projects and new investment. Chamber president Kara Corches credits Mayor Ron Fitzwater’s vision for the area:

“Our new neighbors across the street is going to be the (Missouri) Association of Counties. We have Matriarcha that has just opened an amazing coffee (and) lunch restaurant,” she says.

The Chamber is launching a complete transformation of its headquarters, its first transformation since the building opened in 1977. That transformation will include event space for 230 guests and workspaces for Missouri Chamber members from all 114 counties. Chamber president Corches tells 939 the Eagle that it will be beautiful:

“We’re adding a rooftop terrace also which has the most spectacular views of the (state) Capitol and the Governor’s Mansion. We’re creating this that this is going to be a key gathering place for our awesome members,” says Ms. Corches.
