Missouri’s state treasurer is asking state lawmakers to support a bill to expand the maximum capacity for the popular MOBUCK$ program by $400-million. Treasurer Vivek Malek joined us live on 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Mid-Missouri” this morning, telling listeners that demand was so great on the first business day that all available funding was exhausted in six hours. MOBUCK$ was started in 1985 by then-Missouri Treasurer Wendell Bailey (R) and has been used by treasurers in both parties. Treasurer Malek describes it as Missouri money issued in Missouri to help Missouri:
