The University of Missouri athletic director praises the $250-million Memorial Stadium Centennial project, saying it represents a transformative investment and elevates the experience for Mizzou football fans, student-athletes and recruits.

Laird Veatch briefed reporters during a Monday press conference inside the state-of-the-art 1926 club:
“This really reflects the Mizzou family stepping up at so many levels to come together to make a huge statement that we are serious about chasing championships at Mizzou,” he says.
Mr. Veatch says the 244,000 square foot feet project introduces a new gateway to campus. The project also increases stadium capacity to 63,609.

Officials at the University of Missouri say the $250-million Centennial project positions the historic venue for its next century. Mr. Veatch tells reporters that the project also provides premium hospitality and seating experiences:
“We are super proud and excited as well that our premium seats in this north end zone and then really throughout the entire stadium are 95 percent sold. We have strategically held back some of those opportunities for single-game sales and fully anticipate selling those throughout the season as well,” Mr. Veatch says.

The project is anchored by the historic Rock M Hill. You’ll also notice nine new entrance gates at Memorial Stadium this fall.
What’s next: Mizzou football’s season opener is Thursday evening at 7 at Memorial Stadium in Columbia. Fans will be able to tour the Centennial project on Tuesday September 15.
