Missouri voters are casting ballots Tuesday on five statewide issues: four proposed constitutional amendments and Proposition A, which would approve the GOP-controlled Missouri Legislature’s 2025 plan to redraw the state’s congressional districts.

A Chesterfield-based company called Red Eye has launched Ballot Builder. Red Eye co-founder and chief executive officer David Jackson says Ballot Builder translates those five measures into plain language to assist voters:

“Very few of them are doing to go to the (Missouri) secretary of state’s website and actually download the full legalese document,” Mr. Jackson says.

Mr. Jackson describes Red Eye as a new independent and nonpartisan Missouri civic technology company. Missouri’s four proposed constitutional amendments are 3, 6, 7 and 8. Mr. Jackson has worked in government relations for 20 years:

“Ours is only sourcing the information directly from the government documents with no spin,” he says.
