One of three candidates running for two seats on the Columbia Public Schools board of education in April said in an interview Sunday morning on 93.9 The Eagle’s Columbia Buzz that if elected he would use his seat at the table to be a voice for community members. Alvin Cobbins said the school board needs to hear from a broad segment of Columbia citizens.
Mr. Cobbins, John Potter and incumbent Jeanne Snodgrass are running for two seats on the school board. The other incumbent, Karen Hayes, is not seeking election. The election is April 2.
