State Rep. Cheri Toalson Reisch from Hallsville, who’s district covers much of rural Boone County, was not happy to learn that Boone County commissioners called an election for April on a proposal that would freeze property tax increases on the primary residence of senior citizens. Toalson Reisch has been working on a petition drive to get a similar proposal on the ballot in August or November. In an interview Sunday morning on 93.9 The Eagle’s Columbia Buzz program, Toalson Reisch said she doesn’t like the language in the county commissioners’ proposal, which allows for the specific details of the proposal to be decided after the election.
