Republican Mike Parson will remain Missouri governor.
Parson had about 57% of the vote in the general election, compared to 41% for Democratic challenger Nicole Galloway.
Republican statewide office holders elsewhere won by similar margins: Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, Sec. of State Jay Ashcroft, Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, and Attorney General Eric Schmitt.
Republicans Vicky Hartzler and Blaine Luetkemeyer easily won re-election to their U.S. House seats. Fellow Republican Ann Wagner held off a stiff challenge from Democrat Jill Schupp to hold her St. Louis area Congressional seat.
Columbia’s state Senate seat will stay Republican. Caleb Rowden narrowly beat Democratic challenger Judy Baker, with 52% support.
Democrats did flip a Boone County Commission seat. Republican incumbent Fred Parry lost to Justin Aldred. Democratic incumbent Janet Thompson beat Tristan Asbury. Longtime sheriff Dwayne Carey easily beat Republican challenger Charles Blair.
Republican incumbent state representatives Cheri Toalson Reisch, Chuck Basye, and Sara Walsh all won contested races. Republican Josh Devine won the Circuit 13 Division 4 judgeship.
Centralia and Hallsville both rejected use taxes on internet buys.
In Cole County, Republican Brian Stumpe will serve as judge in the newly-created Associated Circuit Division 5. Republican state reps Dave Griffith and Bruce Sassmann won.
In one of Callaway County’s few contested races, incumbent Republican Randall Kleindienst won re-election in the Eastern District Commissioner race. He defeated Democrat Donnie Horstman by a big margin.

Cole County reported more than 10,000 votes via absentee or mail-in ballot. Boone County reported 79.9% turnout among active voters. There were 28,649 absentee or mail-in ballots cast, and 63,026 cast in-person.
