Boone County reported another COVID-19 death Thursday. Health officials say the patient was between 75 and 79 years old. A total of 35 Boone County residents have died from the illness, and five have been reported this week.
There were 104 new coronavirus cases reported in Boone County on Wednesday, and active cases went slightly up, to 1,006. Hospitalizations dropped, to 140, but are still putting a strain on resources.
Cole County confirmed 77 new coronavirus cases Thursday. The county also reported its 68th COVID-19 death Wednesday.
