Boone County reported another COVID-19 death Thursday. Health officials say the patient was between 75 and 79 years old. A total of 35 Boone County residents have died from the illness, and five have been reported this week.
There were 119 new coronavirus cases reported in Boone County on Friday, and active cases went down, to 953. Hospitalizations went up, to 152, and are still putting a strain on resources.
Cole County confirmed 77 new coronavirus cases Thursday.
Callaway County added 85 new cases since Monday. Active cases dropped to 638.
