Boone County confirmed its 75th death from COVID-19 on Thursday. Health officials say the patient was older than 80.
Active coronavirus cases rose again in Boone, to 199, with 36 new positives on Friday. Hospitalizations stayed the same, at 35.
Cole and Callaway counties both had single-digit case increases on Thursday. Cole added six new positives. Callaway reported 7 new positives, and now has 120 active cases.
