Boone County reported its 64th death from COVID-19 Thursday. Health officials said the patient was between 55 and 59 years old.
Boone had 96 new coronavirus positives Thursday, and active cases rose to 756. Hospitalizations of county residents were down, to 108, but are still putting a strain on resources.
Cole County added 23 new cases Thursday. Active cases dropped in Callaway County, to 411.
