Mid-Missouri’s new coronavirus case increases are rising.
Boone County reported 25 new positives for the second straight day Wednesday. Active cases went up, to 102, making it the first time since mid-April that the number has been above 100. Hospitalizations held steady, at 47. Hospitals in Boone are back to “green” status. They were operating at “yellow” status for the last couple of weeks, meaning resources were strained and some surgeries were being delayed.
Cole County added eight new cases Wednesday.
