Cole County reports its 23rd COVID-19 death. Health officials confirmed that on Monday.
The county reported 65 new coronavirus cases Tuesday. Active cases stayed the same at 539.
Boone County has reported more than 100 new cases in six of the last seven days, confirming 144 on Tuesday. Active cases went back up, to 1,014. Hospitalizations remain at a record high of 142. Boone County hospitals are operating at “yellow” status, which means they are delaying non-urgent surgeries and/or delaying non-emergency patient transfers from referring hospitals due to capacity or staffing shortages.
Callaway County reported 66 new cases since Friday. Active cases in the county went up to 539 on Tuesday.
