Another COVID-19 hospitalization record falls in Boone County.
That total went up three on Friday, to 99. It is still below capacity. There were 81 new coronavirus cases in Boone.
Cole County was under Wednesday’s daily case record on Thursday, but still reported one of its highest totals during the pandemic with 81 positives.
Active cases are up in several mid-Missouri counties. Boone now sits at 449, Cole at 335, and Callaway at 399.
Columbia Public Schools says all but one of its 21 elementary schools has reported a coronavirus case. There are 36 active cases, and dozens are in quarantine. They resumed in-seat learning less than two weeks ago.
Mizzou on Thursday reported 22 new student coronavirus cases. Active cases rose to 79.
