An Iowa man is going to federal prison for a while on child sex crimes, thanks to the work of an undercover Boone County Sheriff’s Department detective.
Prosecutors say John Lundberg, 31, pleaded guilty on Monday to attempting to produce child pornography.
The local detective posed as a mother online offering her 13-year-old daughter for sex. Lundberg texted sexually explicit photos and videos to the undercover account. He also said he’s been molesting an underage niece for years.
The Ames, Iowa man faces at least 15 years in prison. He got probation after he was convicted for answering a fake Craigslist sex ad for a 15-year-old girl in 2016.
