Local doctor urges caution with Alzheimer’s drugs

A new British medical study claims the most popular Alzheimer’s drugs now seem to have little effect on the disease. Jefferson City doctor Chris Link says he isn’t surprised.

“I can tell you that in my own practice these days I am not starting these medications any longer.”

Link says the study shows those drugs don’t appear to do much, if anything, for dementia patients.
