Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett has a big fan in Jefferson City.
Municipal Judge Brian Stumpe says he remembers a fellow student who was struggling in a class Barrett taught at Notre Dame Law School.
“[She was] saying she didn’t have the proper equipment. Professor Barrett said ‘Don’t worry about it. It’s not your problem, it’s my problem now,'” Stumpe said on KWOS. “That student recently finished her tenure as the very first ever blind clerk for the Supreme Court.”
Stumpe calls Judge Barrett “intimidating, but smarter than smart.” President Trump nominated Barrett in September to fill the Supreme Court seat of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
