Local task force deploys to Oregon fires, Sally impact area

Members of Missouri Task Force One deployed to Oregon and Louisiana to help out during multiple natural diasters.

FEMA activated two members on Saturday as incident support team members to help manage the response during massive forest fires in Oregon.

Dozens have died and thousands have evacuated to get away from fires all along the West Coast, and caused states like Oregon to have some of the worst air quality in the world.

Other members are heading down to Baton Rouge, La. to respond to damage that could be coming to the Gulf coast as Tropical Storm Sally approaches. The storm could become a hurricane by the time it makes landfall late Monday night or early Tuesday.
