Lock drafted by Broncos in second round

The Broncos ended Drew Lock’s long wait.

Denver chose the former Mizzou quarterback with the 42nd overall pick in the NFL Draft on Friday.

Many draft projections had Lock going in the first round on Thursday night, but he slid to the second round.

Lock was the first Missouri Tiger taken. Defensive lineman Terry Beckner, Jr. went in the seventh round to the Buccaneers.

Several other Tigers signed NFL free agent contracts. Wide receiver Emanuel Hall, for example, agreed to join the Bears.
