Love Columbia plans 9:30 am groundbreaking ceremony on affordable housing

Nonprofit organization Love Columbia says the city faces a severe shortage of affordable housing, with more and more families facing homelessness.

Columbia and Boone County officials are expected to attend this morning’s groundbreaking ceremony for new transitional housing on East Ash. Boone County commissioners are expected to attend.

Love Columbia plans a 9:30 groundbreaking ceremony at 1221 East Ash. Boone County and Columbia awarded this project federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
