Hundreds of people are expected to pack Columbia’s Crossing church parking lot for Friday evening’s lighting of the Crossing magic tree.
The magic tree is a holiday tradition for many mid-Missouri families. The Crossing magic tree is an 85-foot sycamore that’s illuminated by about 200,000 lights. The church is just south of Columbia’s Grindstone Parkway.
Liz and Scotty from our Zimmer sister station Clear-99 will lead Friday evening’s countdown to the tree’s lighting at 5:30 pm. Clear-99’s Scotty Cox reports the tree will be lit every night from 5-10 pm throughout the holiday season.
