Man accused of scamming Boone County food bank patrons

The Missouri Attorney General’s Office announced charges against a Moberly man on Monday.

Kyle McClain is facing four felony charges for allegedly selling insurance plans to people using Boone County food banks, pretending to help them get a grant for dental work. Those grants did not require any insurance to be eligible.

McClain is now out on bond. He’s due in court Mar. 25.
