A Randolph County man is in custody, accused of taking social security money on behalf of his missing wife.
Court documents say 75-year-old Lawrence Warfel Jr. was spotted taking money out of his wife’s account.
Withdrawal records show he allegedly took more than $8,000 between September 2017 and July of this year, the period in which his wife was missing.
Warfel is in the Randolph County jail on a cash only bond of $25,000.
