Man arrested after allegedly shooting at van on I-70

The Highway Patrol is praising a couple truckers for protecting people from an alleged shooter.

Chad Kennedy of Boonville allegedly shot from his car at a van on I-70 in Montgomery County on Tuesday afternoon, disabling it. Two semis quickly parked around the van, protecting the three people inside.

Kennedy, 28, allegedly drove off, and was arrested in Columbia. He’s now in jail with no bond, looking at several charges.
