Man expected to plead guilty to arson at Planned Parenthood

A Columbia man is expected to plead guilty to setting a fire at Columbia’s Planned Parenthood clinic back in February.

ABC 17 reported that Federal Public Defender Troy Stabenow said Wesley Kaster will plead guilty to one misdemeanor and one felony.

According to authorities, Kaster could be seen on surveillance video breaking glass on a door to the clinic on North Providence, putting a bucket inside, then throwing a Molotov cocktail in the building and leaving.  Smoke could later be seen billowing from the building.

A change of plea hearing in Kaster’s case has not been scheduled.
