Man injured in shooting in south Columbia neighborhood

One person is hospitalized and another is arrested after a shooting in a south Columbia neighborhood.

ABC 17 reports it happened on Poplar Hill Drive near Old Plank Road Saturday afternoon. Witnesses say a man went to grab his dog from his front yard, then someone from across the street shot at the man and hit him in the back.

Police say the victim was taken to the hospital and is stable. They also arrested one person after the shooting.
