A 26-year old man is dead after a crash on Interstate 70.
Columbia police said Patrick Elsey of Boonville was driving his Ford Focus eastbound when it slid into a tractor-trailer, that was stopped by traffic on Wednesday night.
Officers found the crash while heading to an earlier crash that was blocking I-70 near the Range Line Street exit.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
While police do not suspect alcohol or drugs, the investigation is ongoing.
